Thank you all SO much for your overwhelming response to Steen’s Cookies being back. I’m currently wrapping up the last 22 orders (38 dozen more cookies to mix, bake & ship!) so I appreciate everyone’s patience as I painstakingly prepare each order for shipment.
I’m not taking any more orders at this time so that I can focus on my existing orders. I will be taking a few days off after I am caught up and will return in about a week or so.

MarSteen’s Cookies Back!
Well…temporarily. So many regulars have been missing their favorite Steen’s Cookies flavors while others never got a chance to try them. So this weekend I will be back in the kitchen. But there’s a catch.
I will only have 10 dozen cookies available in the following flavors:
-Chocolate ChipSOLD OUT-Oatmeal (5 dozen plain, 5 dozen with raisins)
-Peanut Butter
-Snickerdoodle
-Brownie Chunk
(All flavors are plain and there will be no add-ins. I’m trying to keep it as simple as possible.)
Each dozen cookies is $10. Shipping will run anywhere from $8-$13 depending upon how many dozen you order. For orders of 3 or more dozen, I will use a USPS medium flat rate box to reduce shipping costs. All cookies are shipped USPS Priority with a tracking # and will arrive within 2-3 days from the moment they leave the oven.
I’m baking 50 dozen cookies. That’s 600 cookies. (Oh God…am I sure I wanna do this? lol) So when they’re gone, they’re gone! Cookies will start shipping Monday 03/25/13 and will ship throughout that week.
How To Order:
1.) Email me at SteensCookies@gmail.com
2.) In your email, please include the full name & address of who I’m shipping to (don’t forget the suite or apt # if I’m shipping to a business or a friend.)
3.) Include the flavors you’d like and how many dozen of each flavor. You can’t mix & match (like, you can’t get ½ dozen oatmeal & ½ dozen peanut butter. I only sell full dozens.) Because I am offering limited quantities, I’ll need to confirm that a certain flavor isn’t sold out. You will be given your total and payment instructions at that time.
4.) If payment is not received within 24 hours from the time you’re sent your payment instructions, your order will be cancelled.
5.) I accept Paypal. You can also pay by phone with a credit card/debit card if you don’t have a Paypal account setup. Just let me know this in your email & we’ll set up a payment by phone!
6.) Once you receive your email confirmation with your tracking #, get your milk ready & sit back and relax. Your cookies will be there shortly!

Yes ma’am! Unfortunately, I’m not currently baking but I take nut allergies VERY seriously. Any flavors containing nuts or peanut butter aren’t even prepared at the same time as other flavors.
Check back later this month. I should have updated info indicating when I’ll have a free weekend to bake. Thanks for your interest. :)

Because Father’s Day is just a few days away, I unfortunately won’t be able to get cookies out in time for the special men in your lives to receive them before Sunday. But please check back periodically for updated information. I should be back in the kitchen soon!

AprWho Wants Cookies?!
I started a new job 5 weeks ago & haven’t baked since then. I miss it. And many of you miss it too apparently because the orders keep rolling in & I’ve had to turn you away. I just had to figure out how to incorporate baking (which is a full time job) into my new full time job schedule. So, I’m going to try something out. If this works, I’ll do this monthly.
My plan is to have one weekend/month that I devote to filling cookie orders. You’ll have a window in which you can place your orders. Orders must be paid for in full within that window or else your order will not be processed.
If you’d like to order cookies you can do so between now and Wednesday 04/25/12 at 5:00 pm PST. Select the items you’d like from my menu. I will send you a money request. Pay for your order via the Paypal money request. Sit back. Relax. Your cookies will be baked next weekend and shipped between Saturday 04/28 and Monday 04/30.

Hey Y’all!
Today is Steen’s Cookies 1 year anniversary! Crazy, right?! I never imagined that this day would come. When I first started Steen’s Cookies back on March 15th of last year, it was out of necessity. I’d recently been laid off and didn’t have a plan. So I did something that I’ve often daydreamed of. I took my severance and ran away from home! I spent an entire week alone in Hawaii admiring the ocean view from my 16th floor balcony, wearing sundresses & flip flops, and consuming copious amounts of bacon. That week in paradise allowed me to clear my head & come home with a plan. People had been asking me for a while “When are you going to start selling your cookies?” & I realized that now was the perfect time. 3 days after I returned home from Hawaii, I launched Steen’s Cookies. And 3 days after that I ended up in the emergency room with bursitis in my left shoulder because the 35 dozen cookies that were prepared in those first few days were mixed by hand. Needless to say, getting a professional mixer was at the top of my “To-Do” list for that following week!
I’ve learned SO much during this past year. Not just about operating a small business but about myself. I can’t even count how many 18+ hour days I’ve had. I’ve been in the kitchen so late many nights that I’ve watched the sunrise out my kitchen window. I’m not complaining though. I’m grateful that so many people have supported me. I’m rapidly approaching my 600th order! (Take into account that I’ve taken about 9 of the past 52 weeks off, I’d say that’s pretty impressive!) Thank you to every person who has placed an order with me during this past year. Thank you to everyone following this Tumblr. Thank you to everyone who has participated in my giveaways. Thank you for the RT’s. Thank you to my techie friends for offering suggestions & helping me get my butt in gear. Even if you’ve never actually tried a Steen’s Cookie but have thought about ordering, I appreciate you too! Thank you for your stories about how you came home from a rough day at work and seeing that box of cookies at your door made your day better. Thank you for sharing your excitement with me when you receive the confirmation email letting you know that your order has shipped! Thank you for ordering cookies for your loved ones & for sharing them with coworkers. Thank you for all of your feedback and for sharing photos (and videos!) of you enjoying your Steen’s Cookies with me. Thank you for making my temporary solution for unemployment turn into a full fledged business. On those days when I’m tired and my feet are swollen and my back hurts, YOU are what keeps me motivated. Making my customers happy is one of the most satisfying feelings I’ve ever felt. Knowing that people believe in you will motivate you when you’ve only had 9 hours of sleep in 2 days.
I’m not sure what the future holds for Steen’s Cookies. As long as my customers continue to have a sweet tooth, I will continue to bake. As I mentioned, I had no idea that I’d still be doing this 1 year later. But one thing I am certain of is that you all have contributed to making this one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I truly appreciate you all so much from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for your continued support.

I’m taking the weekend off after I finish wrapping up a few orders, and have extra dough that I don’t want to go to waste. So I came up with the idea of having a bake sale! I have oatmeal, peanut butter & brownie chunk cookies up for grabs. The doughs were just made within the past 3 hours.
For $15, 1 dozen cookies of your choice will be shipped anywhere within the U.S. this evening via USPS postal priority. They will arrive Monday or Tuesday. This is for plain dozens only.
